Jiuzhaigou Valley Travel Guide: Take You to Legendary Fairyland

Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park, situated in in Southwest China, about 400 kilometers north of the capital city of Sichuan Province, Chengdu, was put into the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1992. As the name implies, Jiuzhaigou means "Nine Village Valley" in Chinese, then we got the fact that it is home to nine villages of Tibetan people here centering in Nuorilang and comprising three valleys, namely Shuzhenggou, Rizegou and Zezhawagou. It is over 80 kilometers long and covers an area of 60,000 hectares.

About Jiuzhaigou, there is a beautiful legend, long long time ago, there lived a pretty and beautiful goddess lived in the mountain which is located in the east of Jiuzhaigou Valley while there is a knightly god in the west. They fell in love with each other increasingly as time went by. One day the god held out a gleaming and mysterious mirror to her lover as a gift, but she accidentally drop it into the ground since she is so excited. The mirror fell down breaking into 108 pieces. That 108 mirror pieces turned out to be 108 winkling and glittering crystal lakes with different sizes, scattering Jiuzhaigou Valley scenic spot of Chinatours.
